About us
Located on top of the Shawangunk Ridge in the Town of Wawarsing, Ulster County New York, we are a small community organization completely staffed by Volunteer Professionals since 1950.
Today the Fire Company responds to an array of emergencies on the mountain and provide help to neighboring agencies through the New York State Mutual Aid Plan when they require extra assistance. We are currently certified through NYSBEMS as a Basic Life Support First Response (BLSFR) as we have members certified as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT's)
For information on joining our organization, please stop by the Firehouse on any Wednesday evening starting at 7:00pm to pick up an application and talk to our current members for a tour of the station and apparatus.
